Community Housing Development

Community Housing Development: Introduction

While future housing projects are in the planning and implementation stage, current social housing consists of CNSST Kotuku House,  a 4-level building with 36 one-bedroom apartments, built in partnership with government. It is specifically designed for Asian seniors who face a range of difficulties in accessing the private rental market in Auckland. Each unit is 59 m2, with private bathroom and balcony, and waste management and security system. The ground floor serves as our CNSST main office, providing wrap-around support to residents and the wider community.

Its grand opening was held on 28th March 2018.

Please note:

  • All prospective tenants must be referred to us by Work & Income and are subject to meeting Work & Income’s eligibility criteria.  CNSST Foundation does not charge any fee to place tenants into CNSST Kotuku House.
  •  CNSST Foundation has not authorized any agent, individual or organization to act on its behalf to provide consulting or other kind of support service (whether fee-based or not) to persons wishing to apply for social housing at CNSST Kotuku House
