Driver Licence Support and Training

CNSST Yi Lu Ping An Driver Training Programme is proudly partnered with MSD to deliver a driver licence support programme to our community. This programme aims to help vulnerable members of our community who face barriers to getting their licence—whether due to limited access to resources or a lack of support. We are committed to promoting safe driving in our communities because a safer driver means safer roads for everyone. In turn, this increases employment opportunities and delivers overall social and economic benefits to our community.

Since 2023, we have helped nearly 1,000 clients with efficient service and focused, test-ready preparation. Our programme has made a wide impact in the community, promoting employment and raising awareness of safe driving.

This programme is not a “learn to drive” course. It is an intensive, short-cycle programme designed for learners who are already at the final stage of getting their licence and need focused, professional support to pass their practical test.

We do not replace the NZTA-recommended 120 hours of supervised practice.

Our lessons are limited and intensive. They are designed to refine your skills, correct bad habits, and prepare you for the test—not to teach you how to drive from scratch. We strongly recommend that you complete your own supervised practice with a parent, caregiver, or supervisor before enrolling with us.

If you are a beginner and have not yet logged significant supervised driving hours, this programme may not be the right fit for you at this stage.

Our Instructors

Our driving instructors are conscientious and responsible. They are experienced professionals who hold the required NZTA I-Endorsement to deliver practical driving instruction. They are approved by CNSST Foundation and bring many years of on-road teaching experience to our programme.

Basic Enrolment Criteria (Conditions Apply)

New Zealand citizens or resident visa holders
Be over 16 years of age
It is legally permissible to obtain a Class 1 driver’s licence
Signed registration form and MSD Privacy and Eligibility Declaration Form
Be at the final stage of your licence journey (ready for test preparation, not initial learning)
You meet programme eligibility criteria (to be verified by our team)
You are within our contracted service areas in Auckland
You are not enrolled with another provider already
